Clarilis announces significant hire for SEA team

High growth legal technology business Clarilis has appointed Grace Loh as Head of Business Development for its growing South East Asian operations.

Grace will be responsible for developing business growth across the region, with plans to take the company into new markets as Clarilis expands from Singapore into a wider ASEAN region.

Clarilis is a market leading document automation platform and the largest team of automation specialists. Designed for law firms and in-house legal teams, the CLARILIS™ platform saves a significant amount of time in producing drafts of all forms of legal documentation. Clarilis designs, implements and delivers fully managed automation projects for its clients.

Grace joins Clarilis from RHT People, the corporate training arm of RHTLaw Asia where she was Chief Operating Officer. As COO Grace was responsible for providing leadership and vision to grow the business, including product development and strategic partnerships. Grace has a deep understanding of the legal market and how organisations can leverage technology for competitive advantage. Her hire comes at a time where law firms and businesses are increasingly turning to technology to reduce costs and improve service delivery.

Grace has a wealth of experience in terms of sales, international business development and marketing. She has lived and worked in Singapore and Australia and led multiple successful projects in Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. Her expertise in the Legal and Governance, Risk and Compliance arena has spanned more than ten years and she has held a wide range of positions at organisations such as National Trades Union Congress, CrimsonLogic and LexisNexis.

Grace graduated from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia with a degree in Psychology and Ecommerce and she is currently in progress with a Global MBA from the University of Manchester, UK.

Grace Loh said:

“I am thrilled to be embarking on this growth journey into Asia with Clarilis. Clarilis has already had proven success as a market leader in the UK and across multiple jurisdictions globally. Legal firms and corporations in Singapore and the region will soon find it necessary to adopt cutting-edge technologies in order to stand out against competitors. The legal industry will need to transform digitally, including to keep pace with clients that are also implementing and navigating smart Industry 4.0 technologies. Clarilis South East Asia is primed to assist future-thinking firms and corporations in Singapore and SEA seeking a document automation solution with a demonstrable ROI.”

Malik Anwar, Director of Clarilis SEA, added:

“I am delighted to welcome Grace on board to lead our growth drive in SEA. Grace is an experienced and well networked executive and her experience in Singapore and the region will allow her to be well placed to lead our business development and marketing initiatives in the region. Coupled with her deep understanding of the technology space and legal markets, I am confident that Grace will open new areas of growth and elevate the Clarilis brand. Her appointment comes at an interesting time for Singapore and SEA with COVID-19 but we are confident that the region will overcome this setback and demand for technology solutions that add value to the organisations will continue. Her hire reflects our strong belief and commitment to Singapore and the SEA region.”
